They are manufactured to meet or exceed NFPA standards used by United States Forestry Service (USFS). The only difference is that we stock it and have our FireHoseDirect brand stenciled on each hose. If you are a fire department customer and need the manufacturer name stenciled on the hose instead of FireHoseDirect due to bid restrictions, we can special order these hoses for your department.

This hose is a lightweight forestry fire "mop-up" hose and is not intended to be a substitute for home garden hoses. It is thin walled and will kink at low pressure. Please see SKU 58G150GBL for a kink-free lightweight home garden hose. This hose is sometimes referred to as pencil line or toy hose in the wildland fire industry.

The polyurethane lining consists of a single-ply extruded tube of synthetic high tensile TPU compounded that resist ozone. Features a smooth finish for better flow characteristics.
  • The hose is coupled with brass garden hose threaded couplings complete with gasket and fitted with strain reliefs inside the ferrules to protect the hose.
  • This hose meets or exceeds all performance requirements of federal specification NSN# 4210‑01‑167‑1061.
